Rick's Picks? What is this anyway?

Well. . .Where to begin. . .Let me just start out by saying this: I like to cruise the internet in search of sightings or close encounters that I feel have one or more very interesting and compelling aspects to it. Once I come across a few UFO reports I feel are good, I then submit them over to Jerry and Larry for their expert opinion's. Once they get a chance to look them over and if they determine they are of a high quality they might just put one or two them on their great UFO Files Report Show for your scrutiny. That is if time permits. As I am sure many of you are aware, time is very limited in a broadcasting environment, and of course each show Jerry and Larry pack in a whole lot of news, information and sightings, in fact as much as they can possibly fit into each and every UFO Files Report Show.

So herein lies the rub. Very often a thoughtful well written, detailed sighting report will tend get a bit wordy and detailed. Of course this is good. The more details and information, the better, right? But from a broadcasting standpoint, this can prohibit Jerry and Larry from reading and discuss in their entirety, all the fine points and details of any one particular report. So we discussed this problem, Larry Jerry and I, and came up with a solution we hope you will like. That's where this page comes into play. We decided it may be a good idea if were to post the sightings I submit for the show here in their entirety, for you to look over if you find the report interesting enough that it compels you to do so.

These particular sightings I pick, may often be very old. On the other hand, they may be very new as well. I don't judge a report by the age of it, at least for the purposes of Rick's Picks. Sure, I agree that  fresh new sightings are very interesting and important. However, the main criteria I tend to use in selecting cases for the purposes of Rick's Picks are by in large based on how interesting and detailed the sighting may be, how genuinely truthful the reporter seems to be, or/or maybe maybe facts, that for one reason or another, makes me feel that it should be brought to you, our beloved UFO Files Report Show listener's attention. If applicable, I will inform you on which aspects I like or dislike about the various sightings here at the bottom of each case. Also, it is important for you to understand, most of these cases to the best of my knowledge have never investigated by a qualified UFO investigator or organization.

These sightings will be left completely unedited by me, in an effort to relate exactly what the reporting party experienced. The only exception may be an occasional typo correction here and there and I do this very seldom. So, it is up to you, the reader, to intemperate exactly what the reporting person was trying to relate at the time his or her report was submitted.

I invite UFO investigators to look into these cases if you are so motivated. At the bottom of each report will be the reporting agency with which you may contact for further information on the reporting parties involved.
