12-21-08 A Couple Interesting Encounters for You

The first report appeared in my Rick's UFO Picks column inside UFO Magazine, December of 2006. I have always thought it was a very interesting, the description of the craft that the witness gives us. This one occurred in the early evening of  June 11^th, 1998 (Date and time approximate) while the witnesses were driving southbound on Interstate 5, near the city of Patterson, Ca.

My girlfriend and I were driving home to San Luis Obispo from Chico California one day when we spotted something flying in the sky a quarter of a mile ahead of us. We were headed south-bound on highway 5, parallel to the city of Patterson, CA.

The sun had just gone down and there was still light out when we noticed a flying object over the highway headed toward us. It had flashing lights on it and its movements resembled that of a helicopter. . . .at first. The object began to descend from above the highway of north-bound traffic into an area over an aqueduct. I turned my head to see where the flying object was going. The flying object stopped when it was parallel to us and changed course, flying at the same speed as us. When I finally caught a good look at it, I realized it was not a helicopter at all, but an obscure shape with lights rotating around it. It was a weird sight. I didn't know what I was looking at. I intended it to be a helicopter, but it was not. My girlfriend was shocked. She pointed at the object with her mouth open and her eyes wide with awe. Her arm blocked my view of the road, so I slowed down to about 45 miles per hour. I turned my head again, and examined the flying object further. I realized at that moment, next to our car was a FLYING DISK with two RINGS rotating around it, one on top of the other. The Craft was comprised of an approximately 25-30 foot long disk with the color of gun-metal silver. The shape was not round, but more oval length-wise, with a rounded off pointy tip. At the end of the disk was a smaller disk apparatus of the same color. Its length was approximately 10-12 feet.

After seeing this, I slowed down the car to roughly 25 miles per hour. The Flying Aircraft then began to speed up and rise into the sky. It flew above the northbound highway and stopped in mid-air approximately 200 yards ahead of us. My girlfriend was panicking. The Flying Disk then began a perfect diagonal decent to an area above the south-bound highway 5. I remember the craft’s movements were so perfect, as if the craft was in another world, uncontrolled by gravity. The movements it made, made me sick to my stomach. They seemed very unnatural to me. I began to cough. After the diagonal shift downwards to the side of the road, the craft stayed there for a moment and then made a perfect upward movement, approximately 35 feet straight up into the sky. (I am sorry, this experience is very hard to describe). We were driving very slow and there was no traffic in front of us. A few cars could be seen in my rear-view window, but they were about a half mile behind us. There were oncoming cars going northbound, but they were at least 3 quarters of a mile away. Then the Flying Disk with rotating Rings made a perfect opposite movement towards the ground. Its movements were that of a mouse icon on a computer. It moved very unnaturally and fluidly. I slowed the car down to approx 15 miles per hour and we watched as the Flying Disk hovered above a grassy hillside. My girlfriend scrambled for her disposable camera she brought with her on the trip.

There was still light out, so the whole examination of the Flying Disk was unobstructed. I noticed its shiny body, and rings that had beacons of lights on them. It was a marvel to witness. It was the most awesome piece of machinery I have ever seen. This is when under further examination, I noticed that the rings were huge metal looking apparatuses rotating around the disk. But there was something I could not intend to fathom. They were not connected to the craft by any bars, cooks, anything physical. The first ring closest to the Flying Disk was rotating at a 45 degree angle to the ship. The second ring rotated around the first ring, 45 degree's to the ship, counter to the first ring. This was truly an amazing sight. After about 10 seconds, of examination, we were parallel to the Flying Disk. This is when it began to rise upwards about 20 feet straight up. Again its movements, made me feel ill-at-ease. After rising approximately 20 feet, a bright light lit up from beneath it. It permeated the ground and I saw dried grass sparkling underneath. I was truly in awe. Again, I was shocked by something that could not be intended by modern physics. The light wasn’t attached to the aircraft in any way. The light (similar to that of a halogen) began from a point approximately 5 feet below the craft. It was as if it was a hologram or something. Whatever the craft was doing, it was obscured by its awe-inspiring looks and movements. We kept our speed and moved on until the Flying Disk was out of sight behind us. A mile ahead we saw a police car in the middle of the north-bound highway with its sirens on. The police car was traveling approximately 5 miles per hour and was evidently there to stop traffic from passing. Every light I saw for the next 145 miles, I thought it would be another Flying Craft, the same Craft that I saw before. For a least a month I tried to explain to people what I saw. But the words would not come out of my mouth as I intended to voice them. I was completely spellbound by the awesome sight of that strange Flying Disk with Rotating Rings around it. The object made no sound. My girlfriend later found her disposable camera, just beneath her feet, under the passenger seat.

This next report is an incredible “in your face” close encounter of a very large disk shaped UFO took place not far northeast of my home in February of 2006. This event location is a few miles east of Everett in a town named Granite Falls, in the state Washington:

Giant UFO Hovers Over House, Strikes Witness With Beam

From my primary angle of view it was a thick large disk shaped craft with a large rotating dome on top and four equally spaced domes of a smaller sort underneath. It glowed an intense white glow that enveloped the whole ship. I could only see details better when I had my sunglasses on.

It had a diameter of 6 city buses. When I looked closely at the rotating dome, I saw strange runes or glyphs encircling the top dome, emitting a blue glow that outlined these odd symbols. It went the same for the smaller rotating domes underneath, yet they were colored separately: purple, red, green, and yellow. It circled around my house practically brushing the tree tops.

After about 15 minutes of circling it hovered directly over the house. Intrigued, I went outside to get a better view of it. The glyphs on the small domes then became brighter and the domes began to spin faster and faster.

Then, all of the sudden, a dazzling blast of light focused on me. I was so scared I couldn't move. Then something very crazy happened to me. All of the sudden there was a horrible shrieking noise inside my head. It was deafening and incredibly painful. It forced me to the ground clutching my throbbing head, as though I was to die from it. Then there was a brilliant blaze of light and the shrieking stopped.

The ship then began a steady climb towards the stars. As it did, four orbs about the size of a car appeared to have risen out of the forest and began circling in bizarre patterns around the ship. The craft rose faster and faster into the night sky, until it was only a speck in the sky. It sped off at an incredible speed. I was battered and reeling from the encounter and the intense pain that still clawed at my brain. I stumbled into my room, crashed on the bed and fell asleep.

V shaped Craft Hovers Over Farm in Daylight

I recently was discussing a UFO encounter with a friend of mine, as he has significant interests and participates in research on the subject. He suggested getting online and looking for websites, (such as this one) that had listings and reports by state, region, shape, etc. I was looking thru the Washington state region, around the mid to early 1980's, to see if anyone else had ever seen what I am going to describe.

To my great surprise and genuine startled sensation, a person in Rochester Washington, (which is not too far from where my stepfather and I originally saw this UFO, in Ethel, WA) described a very similar shaped craft and an unusual time disorientation feeling both my stepfather and I had experienced after the craft departed. For whoever wrote about the V shaped craft, I want you to know, you are not alone in seeing this. Both my Stepfather and I saw it, and we saw it within very close proximity and in broad daylight.

Here is my account of the incident: My stepfather was picking me up from a friend's house at the top of the Hill on an old country road called Larmon road about 1 mile east from where the road meets into Hwy 12. I remember I had rode the school bus up to my friend's house that day to go play on his go-cart, as it meant I wouldn't have to try and ride my bike up that incredibly steep hill. We had left my friend's house and we were driving East back towards the hill, That is when my stepfather turned to me in the passenger seat and said quite casually, "Look, a UFO." My reply was "yeah, right", until I looked past him and out the driver's car door window, then I actually saw it.

My stepfather slowed down the car as we saw looked in disbelief and eventually came to a stop there on the road. There it was, this huge upside down "V" shaped, silver metallic craft. It was hovering no more than 15 feet above the grass, in an empty cow pasture, right off to the left of the road. I remember just sitting there in the front seat, looking at it, in total disbelief, as to what we were both seeing.

It was there, in a field belonging to my friend's grandparents facing North of the road. It cast a giant shadow on the ground, but I remember it looking as if it were just hanging there in the air, it was impossible for our eyes to comprehend, as it defied gravity, just hanging there. The top of the "V" was facing towards the sky. And in the center, I remember a circular domed area, and what looked like domed windows. It was not a plane, as there was no noise, and this craft was a lot larger than a regular plane, or even a jumbo jet, it was very big.

The house of my friend's grandparent's was just to the right of where it hovered, and it made the house look like a shed in comparison. We were probably no more than 150 ft from where it hovered above the pasture. I remember seeing the grass below it reflecting on the tips of both sides of the V. It had lights, green, red, and blue. I remember seeing the green light the most coming from the centermost point of the craft, where I had believed to have seen windows on the craft.

The light got intensely bright, and after that, I remember being suddenly startled and then suddenly looking out the window of my passenger window, as if something was there, I for a moment thought there was something there. It was at this time that time seems to have skipped on us. We both felt as if some serious time had passed since first encountering the craft, that we had something like a time hiccup is the best I can describe the sensation. Like we hiccupped and we moved ahead in time, like we had been gone for hours, but somehow equated out to no time loss at all.

I have no idea if we were abducted, as I have no memory past looking out my passenger door window, I just remember being very startled and was compelled to look away from the light. After I saw there wasn't anyone there, I looked back at the craft, and it was gone. Suddenly there was a noise, a very loud thunder cracking sonic boom type of noise, but when we got out of the car to see if it had made the noise, there was nothing visible in the sky. For a good five minutes, we sat on that road looking at a craft that was in no way shape or form anything I have seen before or since. It was huge, and it made no noise.

We proceeded down the hill towards home and went back into the house. When we got into the house, my mother asked quite sternly where we both had been, and we both said we just came straight down the hill. She said that it had been well over an hour when my stepfather had gone up the hill to pick me up. We lived no more than 2 miles from my friend's house.

We never reported it, but not long after that incident, My stepfather somehow developed a very serious and debilitating brain tumor and died three years later. The effects of the tumor started just a few days after we saw that craft. I do not know if this was somehow connected, but it did appear very strange when the right side of his body went dead and he started having seizures not long after our encounter.

So, to whoever saw this same shaped craft, you are not alone, My stepfather and I saw it as well. And I believe something else might have happened to us. Although I have always been very healthy, I have the feeling that something else occurred that day. For whoever wrote their encounter regarding the craft in Rochester back in 1979 - 1980, I hope that these people will share my contact info with you. It is because of what you wrote that compelled me to share my experience.

This first sighting is one I had myself as a child with one of my childhood friends:

Youth Spot V-Formation

I was in the backyard of one of my childhood neighbor friends, with my friend. So this sighting was witnessed by my friend and myself. I am not positive of the exact date, this sighting occurred either in the summer of 1962 or more likely 1963. We were both standing there looking towards the East and talking at the time.

We were both shocked to see a V-formation of lights composed of 7 or 9 points or globs of light pass completely across the sky, from horizon to horizon. They came from behind the southern horizon and continued moving on a straight trajectory, all the way to the northern horizon in approximately 3 or 4 seconds.

I had never then or now seen aircraft fly at this rate of speed. An airplane would take at least a couple minutes or longer to cross from horizon to horizon depending on altitude and distance from the observer. I had the impression that their altitude was very high because there was absolutely no engine sound whatsoever, although I have no way of knowing this for sure.

They did not have the appearance of stars or meteorites. Neither were they just distinct points of light. They rather had a sort of oval or round shape, but it was hard to tell because they had the appearance of diffused white light.

At the time, we, as kids would, knew they were "space ships". There was no other explanation in my mind then or even now.

Disk One Mile in Diameter or Larger Hovers Over Witnesses

I was about 8 years old. I was living in Garden City Michigan with my parents. I don't remember a date: I can tell you that it was warm outside, at approx 11:30 pm or so. My father was a truck driver and was out of the state. I was staying with my Mother. I had a friend spending the night who went to get us some Taco Bell on his bike.

I remember that Helter Skelter was playing on TV and there was a bunch of Regan and Bush election commercials on. My friend was taking a long time to come back and my mother and I went outside to see if he was coming down the road yet.

We spotted my friend riding his bike down the road holding a Taco Bell bag. He looked up into the sky with his mouth hanging wide open. He then dropped the whole bag of tacos and fell off his bike. We looked in the sky and saw (Your going to think I'm crazy) A HUGE round craft, with lights all around it and a bright light coming out of a big hole in the center. It was kind of like a doughnut...there was a hole in the center but the light was blurred or hazy, so we couldn't see beyond the hole.

The craft was made from some metallic material and was spinning at a medium pace while hovering right above us. It looked like grey metal. The craft was so big and there was no sound at all coming from the object that I could hear. It looked like it was a lid to a cookie jar. I started running in circles crying...my mother was grabbing me trying to get me in the house. As soon as she got me into the house, she called my grandmother up on the phone.

My Grandpa and Grandma looked outside their house and saw the same craft. They said it looked like it was right above them. My mother left the phone to go see if it was still there. My mother and I went outside and it was still there. A second later it took off slowly in a diagonal direction upwards, then came to a complete stop. It then zoomed off with a flash in the opposite direction leaving our area.

My grandpa saw another small craft leaving with the main one. But I only saw the one craft myself. Concerned, my mother called The Garden City Police dept. She said "Please listen. This is not a prank. There was something over our house about 5 minutes ago" The police said "Mam, we haven't had any reports of any objects in the sky today. It was probably just a plane." My mom got really mad and hung up.

The next day I saw something on TV about sightings of a Bush election plane flying around our area. It sounded to me like they were trying to justify something. I would like to see this object again. My memory is slightly clouded due to the time passed. I can say that this was indeed a flying saucer, without a doubt. It was not little flying lights or a falling star. It was a huge grey metal disk that must have been over a mile in diameter. It was absolutely huge.

I forgot to mention, my grandma lived one mile away from us. I saw what appeared to be windows with light coming out of them. The funny thing was this thing had a lot of light coming from it, but the ground was not lit up, nor was the houses in the general area. I find it hard to believe nobody else saw the same thing, even thought it was 11:30 or later.
 

So that’s the way it was, in Garden City Michigan that evening. A circular craft a mile in diameter overhead, tacos and hot sauce spread all over the street below. What a mess!
